Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are one of the NBA’s most recognizable franchises — the heart of “Dub Nation” and the team that defined an era of championship basketball. That reach makes the Warriors one of the strongest team collector markets in basketball cards: there are more Warriors collectors, chasing more players, than for almost any other franchise.

The modern core

Today’s Warriors collection starts with Stephen Curry, the greatest shooter in basketball history and one of the most collected athletes in the entire hobby. Around him, Draymond Green — the defensive anchor of four championship teams — young athletic wing Jonathan Kuminga, and 2022-championship starter Andrew Wiggins round out the recent core. The February 2025 trade deadline added veteran two-way star Jimmy Butler, whose Golden State-uniform cards only begin with 2024-25 releases — the newest star chase on the team. The superteam years added Kevin Durant, whose three Golden State seasons (2016-2019) delivered back-to-back titles and two Finals MVPs — his Warriors-era cards are a distinct dynasty artifact. Curry’s cards in particular dominate the modern Warriors market.

The legends

The franchise’s history stretches back to the 1946 Philadelphia Warriors — and because the team was also the San Francisco Warriors from 1962 to 1971, vintage cards carry those older names instead of “Golden State” (see our Warriors cards by era reference for how to search each one). Seven championships sit behind those three names: 1947 and 1956 in Philadelphia, 1975 in the Bay Area, and 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022 in the modern dynasty — the franchise record, read on 24 August 2026. That history gives collectors a deep bench of Hall of Fame names: Wilt Chamberlain (the only player ever to score 100 points in an NBA game, done as a Philadelphia Warrior in 1962), Rick Barry (Hall of Famer and 1975 Finals MVP), Chris Mullin (Hall of Fame sharpshooter and heart of the Run TMC era), Nate Thurmond (Hall of Fame center and one of the game’s greatest defenders), and recent-era great Klay Thompson (the “Splash Brother” and four-time champion during the Golden State dynasty). Vintage cards of these players — especially in high grade — are the ones that hold value across decades.
